Ah the magic of movies! You have complete control over the eyes and thoughts of your audience. Even complete as$hole actors can pretend to be loving and caring friends of the viewer. History can be rewritten with glamorous story-lines, the future can be predicted as a utopia or distopia.

RC Was Worse Than I thought...

i was visiting with my family and it seems the rc was worse than i thought.

now they all seem to think that "we are so close to the end" and that the "brothers are really preparing us for the gt".

some even saying that soon our message will change to a judgement message for mankind and talking about how we need to improve "everything we do".

with the new rc conventions making their rounds, much has been leaked in regards to their loyalty videos.

disturbing is the ramping up of hatred and shunning towards those who have faded, especially if such ones according to the watchtower are living in sin, but have not been found guilty as yet by the judicial process.

certainly of the criteria of guilt, is talking against the gb, which i personally come under.

If my parents are any gauge, most of us exJWs pay closer attention to what's in the magazines, broadcasts, and assemblies than they do. How many dubs read, pay attention, or even stay awake for these things? For the crapvention they'll hear the talks once, watch the videos once, might even take notes. A dose of the fear, obligation, and guilt may stick, but much of what was presented is completely forgotten by the time they get the breadsticks at Olive Garden on the way home afterward.

If they want to review the highlights of the program and watch the crapvention videos again and again, they'll have to get on "apostate" websites until/if it get posted on JW.borg.

how does someone overlook that and carry on?.

Remember the old warnings from WT about how "brothers" could be innocently browsing the internet or reading email and a popup window for a porn website would just mysteriously appear and "brothers" would instantly close down their computers (about 15 minutes later). It never happened to me, well, not until I actually went looking for porn.

Maybe this has happened to her. She was searching for muffin or sausage recipes and these porn websites just mysteriously appeared.

It's kinda like being a JW, too. Something true yesterday is replaced by different truth tomorrow. I kept being told how "joyful" and "privileged" I was, yet on the inside I was depressed to the point of craving death.

September 2016 Watchtower Clothing including Tight Pants

funny thing is that it actually an embarrassment to him and i'll explain why later.

Our choice of clothing should not make people conclude anything other than that we are worshippers of Jehovah.

Sounds like Donald Trump and his family could pass for JWs! Modestly dressed in suits and skirts, neither tight nor baggy, they must worship the Bronze Aged desert god Jehovah! (Just replace Domewrap's flag pin with a JW.borg pin.)

Because what you look like on the outside is much more important than what is in your heart, right?

My 2016 RC Experience

i'm at the water park with my five year old in green bay.

she was so happy to be spared another boring day like she endured at thursday's propaganda feast with her mother.

Old Relative Not Happy About Push To Use Ipads Etc

i was in a close relatives house yesterday and she was having angry and resentful at the push to use electronic devices at the meetings.

she was talking to another relative of mine who has just got an ipad to use.

this relative of mine is very elderly and obviously prefers to use her bible and other books.

That's what WT used to say it stood for. They clearly instructed that in a "Christian home", Internet access should only be available on a computer in a public area where everyone could monitor what was being accessed. With the new WT direction you can take your ipad and access the Interwebs while in the bathroom. Or course, one would only look at the JW website, right?
